Therapy in Boulder, CO

Depth-oriented counseling for individuals ready to do more than manage symptoms.

If you're looking for a therapist in Boulder, you've probably already noticed that the options are overwhelming and the websites all start to look the same. What I offer is different — not because I use a proprietary method or a catchy framework, but because I take the inner life seriously. I work slowly, carefully, and with genuine curiosity about who you are beneath the version you've been presenting to the world.

In-person therapy in Boulder, Colorado

My office is in Boulder, CO 80305. I work with individuals one-on-one — no groups, no intensives, no packages. Just consistent, depth-oriented therapy with someone who will actually remember what you said last week and care about how it connects to what you're saying now. If you're local to Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, or anywhere along the Front Range, in-person sessions are available.

Online therapy across Colorado

I'm also licensed to practice throughout Colorado via telehealth. If you're in Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Steamboat, Telluride, or anywhere else in the state — online sessions work just as well as in-person for most of what we do. Many of my clients who started online have found it preferable for the long term.

What I specialize in

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and questions of meaning. I have a particular focus on men's therapy — the specific ways men get stuck, disconnect, and lose the thread of their own lives. I'm trained in EMDR, which is particularly effective for trauma and the kinds of experiences that don't resolve through talking alone. And I draw from depth psychology — the Jungian tradition — which means we're interested in roots, not just symptoms.

What therapy with me looks like

The first session is a conversation — not a clinical intake. We'll talk about what brought you in, I'll ask some questions, and by the end of the hour you'll have a genuine sense of whether this is the right fit. From there, sessions are fifty minutes, once a week. I work at whatever depth you're ready for, and I won't rush you toward conclusions you haven't reached yourself.

Fees and insurance

Sessions are $165. I offer a sliding scale for clients who need it — reach out and we can talk about what works. I accept many major insurance plans including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Kaiser (out of network), Medicare, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, SelectHealth, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare.

Starting is straightforward

The first conversation is free — a fifteen-minute call with no obligation. You don't need to have it figured out before you reach out. Most people don't.

When you're ready

A free, 15-minute conversation.
No pressure to continue.

The first step is just talking. We'll see if it feels like a fit — and you can take your time from there.
